Consider Focus, and why we need it, spiritually during Christmas

Consider Focus, and why we need it, to be in the right place spiritually during Christmas.
It’s reported that there is more alcohol consumed, more domestic fights, and more suicides during Christmas than at any other time of the year. Why?
People forget what they are, whose they are and why they are here. They lose focus and satan is waiting.
So before you forget and lose focus, let the Spirit remind us by the Word, which is infallible, inerrant, and all encompassing.
The Westminster Shorter Catechism question number one, “What is the chief end (or purpose) of man?” Answer, “Man’s chief end (purpose) is to glorify God, [a] and to enjoy him forever. [b]
Jesus prayed the prayer of edification and glorification to the Father for the children (us) as he prepares for ascension…he had “laser focus” on what was important. Don’t forget, Jesus just came from the Cross to suffer and die for our sins.
“…I do not pray for the world, but for those You have given Me, because they belong to You; and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I am glorified in the world; yet they are still in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are.”. John 17:9-11
We need to remember “we are one, as He is One”, “we are in Him, as He is in us”, “we are to glorify Him, while He is glorifying us”.
Focus on the One who has caused you to be, to exist, to matter. Our time grows shorter daily…what have we done for Him lately?
Focus! Glorify! Praise! Exalt!
