What about Love Community Baptist Church

Love Community Baptist Church (Love CBC) was founded in 1876 in what is now the community of Love, Mississippi. The church was originally chartered as Ebenezer Baptist Church. The original building still stands on the property and is used as our fellowship hall.

I have been there almost eleven years as the pianist and now also as the treasurer. I came one Sunday to ‘fill in’ for someone and have never left. Our pastor is Brother Randy Nelson and our Music Director is Brother Eric McGehee. We are a good team and I am blessed to be a part of it.

This is the first ever blog by a first ever blogger on this first ever website of Love CBC. The internet and social media are incredible tools to share the Gospel and to interact with people in our area and quite frankly with people around the world. Our little church can and does have a presence in far away lands.

I have worked at churches small and large and the purpose of our existence is the same. We worship God and spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Our voices are loud and clear.

Our church has weathered the Covid-19 pandemic as well as a recent tornado that damaged our buildings and took down a few trees. We adapted to the virus by using online media, outdoor gatherings, masks, sanitizer or whatever we had to do to lessen the interruption. We have been resilient in the challenge put before us.
